Hwarang Silicon Valley, Year-End Event Bringing Joy

Hwarang Silicon Valley members participated in a volunteering event on the morning of December 2nd with the San Jose City Team for Food Distribution.

This volunteer activity, held weekly by the Cupertino and San Jose chapters, was a special year-end event allowing all Silicon Valley District members from the four chapters to participate. Over 15 members from the four chapters actively engaged in the volunteer work.

After the volunteering, each Hwarang member assisted their parents at home in fundraising to purchase and prepare 70 blankets, 15 boxes of clothes, and 10 boxes of personal hygiene items. These items were then donated to the City Team.

In the afternoon, they also took part in the annual Fantasy of Lights event held in Santa Clara County. At the beautifully transformed Vasona Park Lake Park, adorned with numerous holiday lights, around 20 enthusiastic Hwarang members participated in the Walk-Through Lights event, sharing unforgettable moments with thousands of children and families.

Despite the cold weather and the long hours from 3 pm to 10 pm, the passionate Hwarang members set aside their studies and busy schedules to become one, enjoying a stress-relieving and exciting volunteer opportunity.

The event organizers from Santa Clara County expressed their appreciation, saying, "Please make sure to attend the event next year as well to brighten it. It was also a great inspiration to other individual volunteers."
