Korean Festival Parade

The Los Angeles Korean Festival is one of the biggest events in LA: an annual celebration filled with food, drinks, and special performances meant to celebrate Korean culture. Naturally, the Hwarang Youth Foundation assisted by volunteering at the festival. Throughout this four-day event, Hwarang members have worked tirelessly to set up, operate, and clean up various booths, many displaying traditional Korean games such as yutnori. On top of volunteering, members participated in the Korean parade from New Hampshire Ave to Harvard Blvd. Officers and members marched with purpose, holding colorful flags, while the nanta team performed. Volunteering at the festival gave members the chance to help with a major community event while having fun.
