Tea Ceremony

On January 7th, the Tea Ceremony was held in Buena Park. The Tea Ceremony is a special traditional event where an adolescent’s growth into adulthood is celebrated with their parents. The Hwarang members attending this ceremony wear colorful hanbok which are traditionally worn by minors in Korea. The highlight of this event is, of course, the pouring of tea. The members are instructed to pour tea for their parents, and afterwards, into beautiful hanboks typically worn by adults, which symbolize their transition into adulthood. This ceremony is one filled with deep symbolism and meaning.
