Pioneer
INTRODUCTION
Pioneer (2017) was started three years ago as an offshoot of the Amerige chapter. Initially comprised of a mixture of older members trusted for their work ethic and newer members still waiting to prove themselves, Pioneer has come along steadily as a small but hard working ‘family’ of sorts. Even though we’ve been one of the smallest chapters since our very conception, it hasn’t inhibited us in the slightest. Every member knows each other and gets along well. Our officers have dutifully attended as many events as we could, even if it has taken two hour slogs through L.A. traffic. I don’t believe that Pioneer is the best chapter, but I do believe our few members have the heart to be earnest with our work, and that’s all a young leader can ever ask for.
파이오니아 챕터는 아메리지 챕터에서 3년전에 나뉘어 졌습니다. 기존에 활동하던 경험이 많은 멤버들과 잠재력을 가지고 있는 새맴버들이 어울려, 파이어니어는 작지만 최선을 다하는 가족같은 분위기로 꾸준히 성장하고 있습니다. 파이어니어는 화랑 챕터들 중에 소그룹에 속하지만, 멤버들의 마음 속에는 큰 자리를 차지하고 있는 봉사 그룹입니다. 모든 멤버들은 서로 잘 알고 가깝게 지내고 있습니다. 임원들은 Los Angeles 인근의 교통체증으로 2시간이상 걸리더라도, 책임감을 가지고 최대한 많은 이벤트에 참석하려고 노력하고 있습니다. 제 생각에 파이어니어가 최고로 좋은 챕터는 아니더라도, 모든 멤버들이 우리가 하는 일에 정성을 가지고 하려는 마음을 가지고 있다고 생각합니다.

President
Hello, I’m Eric Kim, the current chapter president of Pioneer. I am a senior at Sunny Hills High School. Previously, I was the secretary of Pioneer, when the chapter was much smaller. Since then, we’ve grown to more than three times our original size. Now that we have acquired a larger group, the obvious next step is to find more methods to be involved in the community while keeping all of our members satisfied and comfortable with our work. With that goal in mind, I hope more and more people genuinely consider joining Pioneer and making their own contributions to our humble efforts.
