About This Chapter
Established in 2024, the Boise chapter is a youth-led group focused on human rights and educational inequality — mentoring refugee students in Ukraine, Malaysia, and Vietnam, funding a refugee school in Malaysia, and running local food bank and hygiene drives.

Sieun Hwang
PresidentHello, I'm Sieun Hwang, President of the Boise Chapter. I believe access to education shouldn't depend on where someone is born or their circumstances. I've worked with our members to support refugee students through mentoring and workshops, while helping build initiatives like our fundraising projects and offline digital library. Outside of teaching, I've been involved in local service — from hygiene drives and refugee events to food banks and environmental projects. My goal as president is to create an environment where members feel motivated to take action and make a tangible difference in our community and beyond.
