Hwarang Youth Foundation

Welcome to the Hwarang Youth Foundation Chicago Chapter, where young leaders come together to serve, connect, and grow. Rooted in the spirit of the historic Hwarang warriors, who were known for their loyalty, integrity, and courage, our chapter channels those same values into meaningful community impact across Chicago.

We believe service should be engaging and inclusive, which is why our pickleball fundraisers have become a signature part of who we are. These events bring people together for a good cause while raising funds that support our mission. Beyond fundraising, we are committed to environmental responsibility by organizing community cleanups and sustainability-focused projects that help keep our neighborhoods healthy and green for generations to come.

Culture and history are also at the heart of everything we do. We proudly participate in events that celebrate Korean heritage and traditions, helping our community stay connected to its roots. We hold especially deep respect for Korean War veterans, recognizing their courage and sacrifice through dedicated tributes and community gatherings.

Through leadership, service, culture, and remembrance, the Hwarang Youth Foundation Chicago Chapter continues to build a stronger, more connected community, one event at a time.

Hello! I'm Madeline Lee, President of the Hwarang Youth Foundation Chicago Chapter.

I have always been driven by a passion for leading and empowering others, and this role has given me the opportunity to put that passion into practice alongside a group of fellow dedicated young leaders. It continues to be a privilege to help guide our chapter's mission, and I remain inspired by the impact we continue to make together!
