Hello, my name is Angela Lee and it is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the 2025-2026 Summit Chairperson of the Hwarang Youth Foundation. I am truly honored to take on this role and represent Hwarang in all of its multi-faceted, yet shared visions. 

 

Even with the fundamental ideas that foster our growth as compassionate leaders, Hwarang is not an organization focused on just that. We are a community of individuals whose collective purpose unites us from around the world. As we explore the depths of what it means to be a leader, we further grow as empathetic friends, understanding the idea that a leader does not necessarily mean rising above all. Rather, the leader we aspire to be is the kind that works to empower and understand one another’s different perspectives. To us, our ultimate goal is to emerge as open-minded leaders, thus fostering international understanding and unity. 

 

The past years, our members’ ability to bring tangible and perpetual influence has been truly laudable, gaining recognition from locals and even globally. It is my firm belief that it all begins within our communities where students feel true desire in enhancing the world around them. Even with what seems like the smallest effort, is an effort done to prove that change is possible with the right mindset. I am eager to serve in a position where I can directly assist each and every one of you and serve you with the necessary resources to bring these changes to life.

 

Our journey would not have been possible without our members who commit themselves into becoming tomorrow’s leaders; our mentors who equip us with the confidence we need to step into the world to improve it; and our partners and supporters who have stood with us throughout our endeavors. We are sincerely grateful for the countless people’s commitment in standing with us.

 

I am deeply honored to serve as the 2025-2026 Summit Chairperson of the Hwarang Youth Foundation. I am filled with a great sense of optimism as we venture this next year together. Thank you for your enduring support and steadfast presence. Together, let us continue leading with an intentional purpose for the betterment of our society.
