On Saturday, April 5th, the Hwarang Youth Foundation partnered with the Koreatown Youth and Community Center (KYCC) to host a successful Tree Maintenance Event at 1579 W 46th St in Los Angeles. The event, held from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM, brought together youth volunteers and community members to care for local street trees and learn more about urban environmental stewardship.
Participants engaged in hands-on activities such as weeding, mulching, and watering, all while gaining new skills and insights into how city trees are maintained. The event not only helped beautify the neighborhood but also emphasized the importance of sustainability and teamwork.
Volunteers came prepared in proper attire and with reusable water bottles, showing their commitment to both safety and environmental responsibility. The collaborative effort between KYCC and the Hwarang Youth Foundation reflects both organizations’ dedication to empowering youth through community service and environmental education.
